On the plus side: The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are quiet, free internet, parking (at a charge, but a luxury in amsterdam), comfy bed. On the negative: A bit to many of: Becuase were an eco friendly hotel we do not have this and that, they are a bit to basic for the price they charge, ten minute tram ride to the city. I would possibly return, but compared to what they hype themselves up to be on their website I was a bit disapointed.

Besides cleanliness, you have the convenience of nearby Vondelpark for running, biking, etc. The tram #1 is outside the door although a relaxing walk through Vondelpark leads to the museum district. If you need services, across the street and to the right, youll find everything from hairstyle to grocery. Nice pubs and restaurants are in the neighborhood although the 10 euro extra for the organic breakfast is worth it.

Although this hotel claims to be in the city centre, its really not. The tram is right outside the hotel which is very convenient, but by no means is it IN the city centre. The rooms were clean, but dont count on having a warm shower. The water goes from hot to cold throughout the 3 days we stayed. Theres always this vacuuming sound going on throughout the night. At first we thought they were cleaning, but it doesnt stop. Theres no restaurant in the hotel, and not many restaurants were appealing to us on Overtoom, so we walked all the way to city centre/ took the tram to grab a bite. I would say its not the greatest value for your money considering youre paying more than 100 euros per night, but if you want something clean in amsterdam, Conscious Hotel is not a bad

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel with my wife. Overall I would recommend this hotel. We had a very comfortable king size bed, and got the best sleep we have had in Europe. The hotel room is not to small with a good sized bathroom. To get to the hotel, just jump on the tram from central line (number 1 tram). The number one tram passes right by the hotel (on your left), you can not miss it. You could walk or bike from the hotel to any where, the hotel provides bike rental (24 hrs for I think 10 euro), but it does run out quick. Vondel park is located approx 30 second walk from the hotel. The staff was very knowledgable about Amsterdam and answered all of our questions. When it comes to getting back to the airport, make sure you have coins to pay for the train. We took the

A little further out of Amsterdam than we have stayed previously but it on a great tram link. At €15 for a tram/bus/metro pass for 3 days...was no problem getting to and from the hotel quickly cheaply and efficiently. Extremely clean, basic rooms but smart. Very quirky eco signs around the room which are both fun and informative. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast very good with a wide choice and available from 7 until 10 and even later at weekends. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and very humerous. The hotel is on Vondelpark so is great for a gentle walk or a jog and they even have a good deal with the David Lloyd centre next door if you want to do some sporting activity. Great bar area at the hotel too and open until late. Also an all night reception.
